Mamacita.

I’m listening to my kids splash in the bath.  One wants to play with the other’s hair, one wants to pretend she’s baking a cake, one is singing a song, one is pretending to be a dog, one says to the other “Oh! You’re my best sister!”  They’ve been in there for a while.  I know the water is cold.  I know the toes and fingers are prunes.  But they are so sweet and having so much fun and I’m just so happy sitting out here listening to it all and knowing I’m the mamacita to those two little chicks.

 

 

 

[update: They just started saying “boobs” repeatedly and laughing maniacally.  Bath time over.]
