So so late, nobody tell her.
I am way late in giving my Charlotte her birthday shout-out. Sorry Charlotte!
Happy, silly, friendly, bossy, mastering the perfect hairflip and pout when she’s mad, helpful, serious, bright and thoughtful--Charlotte turned 5 on the 22nd and she was beyond excited. I heard her wake up, jump out of bed, and shout “I’m FIVE!”
The biggest current brag about Charlotte is that she can read. Anything. I have to be careful which magazines I leave lying on the kitchen table. A few weeks ago I caught her reading Glamour while she was eating her oatmeal. I don’t think she needs to know what the foxiest hairstyles of 2011 are quite yet. She loves to read for fun and just about comes unhinged if she can’t have some quiet reading time before she goes to bed.
Another new favorite hobby is fashion. I’ve always heard about the clothes changing that happens with little girls. It’s serious. Outfit changes, hair accessories, and nearly a whole bottle of aerosol hairspray emptied onto her hair at point blank range (and the bathroom mirror and countertop). I can hardly keep up.
Charlotte is teensy tiny. At the doctor this year she is in the 10th percentile for height and not even on the chart for weight. Her doctor calls her “sprightly”. She makes up for her small size with a spunky and bossy attitude. Don’t mess.
We love you Charlotte! Happy birthday sugar booger.
Here are some pictures from the combined birthday party we had for Victoria, Charlotte, and cousin Ella. I love the way Tori knows how to strike a pose.

Happy birthday, Lottie!
What a cutie!!
Every birthday I jump out of bed and yell, "I'm 34!" Or whatever age I am that year.
Awww! Adorable--and looks like the party was hugely fun! Miss you guys!
Great times. Your daughter is exactly 8 days older than my son, btw.
Happy birthday Charlotte! Love all of the cute pics!!!
