My baby is three

Dear Victoria Ruby,

Happy birthday baby doll!  You are three today!  I have to go to work all day so I bought you a new shirt and some My Little Pony underpants to ease your pain.  I hope it works.

Some things we want to remember about you at this age:

You love to cook.  If there is something happening in the kitchen you are right there in the middle of the action.

You love to dance.  You are the youngest one in your dance class but you act like such a big girl and usually you are giggling the whole time.  Also very skilled at Just Dance 2.

You love to act like a doggie.  Or to act like everyone else is a doggie.  Ruff!

You love to brush your teeth.  If I can’t find you I usually just need to check the bathroom counter where you will be sitting and brushing your teeth for 10 minutes at a time.  Probably just eating lots of toothpaste actually.

You like to play pretend and there is always a dialogue happening between all of your toys.  And you call them all “sweet tee” like it’s 2 words.

You gave up your binky last week all on your own.  I was going to let you keep it until today but you gave it up early and haven’t asked for it since.

You love your sister Charlotte.  You guys love to play, wrestle, color, dance, sing, watch movies, take turns playing games on my phone, and read books together at bedtime.  When we pick up Charlotte from school you always say to her “How was school today Charlotte!?”

You are all the things you’ve always been: confident, brave, happy, independent, loving, sweet, and beautiful.  I was giving you a hug this morning and I said “Are you my special girl?”  And you said “No! I’m a beautiful girl!”
