Awards ceremony.
I love blogging because people give you awards. The horrible thing is that I never seem to follow up on the awards. So nobody gives me awards anymore. [Cue music: You don’t bring me flowers, you don’t sing me love songs, you hardly talk to me anymore when I come through the door at the end of the day……]
I got this one from Laura once. Hi Laura! I actually think I got it from someone else too.
With this award I was supposed to tell you 7 things about myself. I’m pretty sure I’ve already overshared. I can’t think of 7 new or exciting things. I'm tall. I'm bossy. I like to cook and eat and brag about my children. Um, I swear a lot. See, nothing new. Too much pressure!!
She also gave me another award and I was realllly excited about it, trying to come up with the perfect blog post to accompany such a prestigious award. I actually kind of begged to receive this award. How embarrassing is that? Again, I totally failed. It’s been sitting in my drafts for a shameful amount of time.

With this award comes the daunting task of naming 5 characters who I’d like to, uh, get down with. Can I just do the shortcut where I say if Colin Firth has ever played a character, then I choose that guy? Mark Darcy, Mr. Darcy, the guy he plays in Love Actually, the dad in What A Girl Wants. See, I’m almost all the way there. Nice! Hmm, I need one more character. Let’s just say Daniel Cleaver and call it a day.
These awards have been weighing heavily on my mind and I’m glad I’ve finally somewhat addressed them.
I’m kind of lame. Don’t anybody give me any more awards. I can’t handle the pressure.

nah, i think you should get awards a little more often. cause then you write stuff like this and i laugh :)
People have stopped giving them to me too. Thankfully, kinda. I mean, it was nice, but I never did anything with them or even mentioned them.
Anyway, congrats and keep up the great blogging, blog buddy.
Yikes to the second award. Lets keep it classy!
