consumer report.

I feel like such a sucker.  Today we took Charlotte to the store to get her a new backpack—she starts preschool in just a couple of weeks.  And I don’t know what kind of trance came over us at Kohl’s but we came home with two character backpacks.  Totally tacky.  But when they make your kids so happy how can you say no?  And also our two little chicks got so much dang attention at the store picking out their backpacks that we were in this fog of pride which bewildered us and caused us to make questionable purchases.  It’s kind of like being at Disneyland and buying a Chip and Dale fanny-pack.  It makes so much sense at the time.

Also, I’m home from my Momcation!  But I’m too tired today to blog about it and sift through all the pictures to find only the most flattering ones.  Shout out to Lynette and Camille for another glorious trip to the PDX area and the gorgeous Oregon coast.  We laughed, we cried, we sweated our guts out (hello unseasonably warm weather, wasn’t prepared for that).  Mostly, though, we ate.  If you are looking for me this week I’ll be at the gym.

Ashlyn got the same backpack. I guess I'd rather her pick out Disney characters than in 10 years when she's picking out super slutty clothes.

Exciting times. There is a saying: The more character backpacks you own, the more successful you will be in life. It's a fairly common saying.

They're sure to rip and tear within a week or two~if experience is a teacher. Then you can replace them with something YOU choose, while they're at school. See? Brilliant.

I can totally relate to the fog that comes over you at Kohls. But they DO look so cute! ( :
