A free car!!

Two and a half years ago we won this beauty in a drawing.

Yesterday we put her up for sale for a teeny tiny amount of money.  Court tried to put “due for service” in the ad and I said “what the crap does that mean?”  She is more than due for service.  She has 4 different tires, air conditioning doesn’t work, door handle on the passenger side is broken, stuff rattles like no other when you drive her, she needs some belts changed, the paint is almost totally worn off the roof and hood, and on and on and on.  Even with all that though the trusty Camry passed state i/m like a champ a couple of months ago and has been surprisingly reliable.

So we got our ad written, and started uploading pictures to ksl.com.  We were in the middle of this process when we got our first call.  Within about 10 minutes we had taken 5 or 6 calls.  Basically the phone rang off the hook all day long and the Camry went to the first caller: a lucky fella in a cowboy hat.  I have a sneaking suspicion we should have asked for more money.

Goodbye Camry.  You came right when we needed you and you served us well.

Sweet! Got it for free and made a little bit of money off it. That works. We never ask enough for our cars.

Ah. How nice. Love KSL. I was totally thinking about you today. I wish I knew where you lived then I could stalk you (hee). I was in your neck-of-the woods but had no idea where to turn.

Bless that Camry. Driving home tonight I saw a Crysler the same color as the camry and on the back in sparkly stickers it said "Miranda". It make me wish that we would have done that with the camry... "Courtland" all sparkly for the whole world to see, even in the dark.

Not quite as cool as a swagger wagon, but cool nonetheless.

That Camry served us well!

Hey Ash, I'd better not see any sparkly stickers on the Mazda.
