Fizzling out.
I can always blog like a champ at the beginning of the week, and then I just fizzle out. The end of the week is too dang busy with working and recovering, then working again, more recovery, and then hanging out with my amazing little family.
This post is getting boring.
That's because I don't actually have anything to say.
It's a beautiful day (so far) and I'm going to wash my car and put my Ragnar sticker on it!
So far about 4 people have doubted my ability to do the next Ragnar. I have a seriously killer leg of the Wasatch Back to do. 7.4 miles uphill. On a dirt road. Everyone is telling me to switch with someone. My sister told me to drop out of the whole dang thing. I think that means I need to just freakin' do it. I don't think anyone should really run uphill, so there might be some walking, and it might take me a good hour and a half, and my team might wonder why they got this slow slow runner on their team, but oh well! I'm not in it to win it: I'm in it to get a second Ragnar 2010 sticker for my car.

Oh I know that leg!! It's a hum-diddly-dinger, but there are worse ones than that one, if it makes you feel any better ;). The girl on our team that ran it wasn't any sort of a speed demon, and I think it actually did take her around an hour and a half. We started to get concerned because we weren't able to stop along the way to give her water other than to chuck a 12 ounce bottle out the window at her at the beginning. When it'd been a long time waiting at the top, Laurie, my speedy friend, ran back down toward her to bring reinforcements, which were greatly appreciated. Definitely plan your electrolytes/water/fueling accordingly on that leg. You don't have to be fast - you just have to do it, and you and I both know you can! Your reward is the other two easy peasy legs. Nice to get the hard one out of the way, IMO.
Hey - JUST SIGNED UP FOR MY FIRST RAGNAR! Very scared and nervous about it. But I've done a marathon - should I be?
Cheeseboy, it's the most fun thing I've ever done. I did the Del Sol at the end of February. I'm a little more scared of the Wasatch Back. Is that the one you are doing? It's hard, and I've heard someone say he's rather do a marathon any day, but I'd rather die than run a marathon. Go Ragnar!!
You can do it Babe! You are a rockstar!
You should totally do it! It'll be so awesome to look back on that hill when you're done. And the sticker will be that much cooler for it!
Hey Girl! First of all, I will totally trade with you if you really want my legs. Second of all, we don't care if you walk, because I'm sure there will be all be doing lots of walking. Mostly, I don't want you to drop out because it's going to be THE MOST FUN EVER if you're there!! We're going to start some training runs next week with the gang. I'll keep you posted. xoxo
