Coming back.

Getting back to blogging after you've had a break is like trying to go back to the gym when you've taken 7 days off. You sit on the couch and think about it, but then you psych yourself out and settle in for a little nap instead.

Life has been a little hectic. We moved, I'm training for my upcoming race, and the only ideas I've had for blogging have been passive-aggressive jabs at people who I should just have the guts to say what I want to say in the first place.

I celebrated my thirty-third (wowzers) birthday a couple of days ago. Started the day out by yelling at my kids "IT'S MY FREAKING BIRTHDAY AND YOU GUYS NEED TO BE NICE TO ME!" Then I got to take a break from them and go to work, where all day I felt guilty for yelling at a toddler and a preschooler and couldn't wait to get home to give them a squeeze. I sneaked home between clients for a 20 minute break, and they both ignored me. So there you go.

Court took me on a great date last night. It was wonderful and we just have fun together. We ate dinner, went to a movie about love, and made out in a parking garage. Aaah. . .bliss!

Have I mentioned that I'm nervous for my race? GAH. I'm nervous for my race. It's going to be a lot of fun and I'm excited for that part. Unfortunately I'll have to get out of the van exactly three times and do the running part. I hope somebody is there to hand me a stiff drink when I finally finish. :)
