I wish I had that!

Oh I love the pre-Christmas season. Now that my kids are old enough to focus on the TV for 28 hours at a time we are bombarded with toy commercial after toy commercial after toy commercial with the occasional plea to come eat at Chuck E. Cheese.

Gone are the days when my children are satisfied with the commercial-free Disney Channel. Sigh.

They love to watch Max & Ruby which is on Nickelodeon which means toy commercials galore. So in between shows I hear Charlotte say "I wish I had that!" about 7 times. Followed by Victoria mimicking her sister as best she can and jumping up and down.

I try to pay a little bit of attention and say things like "Oh really?" or "Wow, that looks awesome!" just to be nice.

So this morning after a round of commercials Charlotte keeps saying "I wish I had that I wish I had that I wish I had that!" So I finally said "What do you wish you had?"

"That swimming puppy no that walking doll no that hippo ball thing no that golf game!"

I need to turn the TV off.

Ella yells at me constantly to look at the tv so see what great toy is on. Luckily she says "maybe can I have that tomorrow?" and she is satisfied with a "maybe"

Can't you just buy her one of everything? :)

My favorite it when they advertise stuff for mommies. "See mom? You need that snuggie!" "Mom, don't you want that? It will give you a flat stomach!" "Mom, if you send them your gold, they will send you money!" Darned Nick.

kate...after a year of not blogging i decided to jump on yours to see whats new and had to laugh out loud because no kidding 3 weeks ago i had to hunt down that damn swimming puppy for Dylan's birthday! Don't you worry though she's moved onto wanting only items from infomercials. Example...the toothpaste dispenser that attaches to the wall. Great.
