Dear Kate,
When you park your car, please remember to use the emergency break. Because remember that one time that you didn't and the car started to roll off the curb, toward the baseball diamond and you had to dive in and pull the break? That time really sucked because your hip-slash-butt got reamed by the door frame and now you have a huge and painfull bruise on your booty. Nice.

but also I want to know why your car doesn't stay in place when it's in park? was it in park?
once i was driving my bf's car. it was an automatic and I had a stick and was not used to an automatic. i parked at a bagel shop on the corner or 6th south and 8th east. i was in line and looked out to see the car was across the parking lot and ran into the curb. i was so, so, so lucky it didn't hit anything. i felt like an idiot. i forgot to put it in park.

Manual transmission, car running, just getting out for a minute to help Court with something, therefore I left the stick in neutral, and apparently forgot the emergency break. So lame!
