I was having a conversation yesterday with some friends and one mentioned her distaste for blogs because they seem so "Look at me! Look at me! I'm seriously so blessed/amazing/talented/perfect/happy/and overall better than you! Brag brag brag!!!" I have to agree with her that many are like that. Some people use so many exclamation points you think their cheeks are going to burst from so much joy and happiness. I hope I'm not like that. My life isn't perfect and I am not here to pretend it is or to paint a prettier picture than necessary or whatever. But I am here to post the most flattering pictures of myself possible. (You know you do it too.) I mean, if I don't post flattering pictures of me, then who is going to?
So do these cupcakes make my butt look big?
I had yet another Martha Stewart moment when I decided to pipe the frosting onto my cupcakes rather than slather it on with a knife. They turned out so cute this way. Have I ever mentioned that I'm severely offended by store-bought frosting? Severely. I try to keep it to myself but sometimes my prejudices sneak out. I make a pretty amazing cream cheese frosting. Brag brag brag. But I used a mix for the cupcakes. See, the ugly truth comes out.

Gee Kate, brag much? You just had to show off your perfect cupcakes and your perfect husband. Why don't you just be honest and admit that the cupcake picture was one you swiped and the man with the perfect hair was some random guy at the park?

Gosh - if we don't brag about ourselves on our blogs, then, really - are we going to look in the mirror and realize how truly great we are? Come on, we all need to share something with everyone. So you've figured out my secret. A disposable bag with a star tip shoved down to the bottom of it makes even store bought crappy frosting look fancy. Shhhhh...don't tell!
