Happy birthday dear Charlotte...
Charlotte's 3rd birthday was on March 22nd. I know I briefly mentioned it in my post about the bink, but I haven't officially blogged about my 3 year old's big birthday bash. Maybe it's because she keeps saying to me "No, that was Ella's birthday, and my birthday is next." Oops. I might have to whip up a batch of cupcakes one of these days and let her blow out a candle.
So we had a party at the park, combined with Ella who turned 4, and Victoria since her birthday was a sick fest here at our house. Charlotte and Victoria had a cake, and Ella had her own cake. We sang separately to the girls, but somehow Charlotte still feels that her birthday was skipped! Poor girl. Note to self--don't try to combine birthday parties in the future.
Some highlights of the party:
- It was windier than heck. We couldn't light candles or play the games we had planned. In fact I missed much of the action because my hair was whipping me in the eyeballs.
- Charlotte fell backwards off the bench during lunch and Uncle Peter saved the day with his big foot. Her head landed right on his foot, saving her from the concrete.
- I made my first marshmallow fondant cake. It was fun and pretty easy to do! But Charlotte keeps telling me that someone at the party said to her "that cake is weird."
- And finally, hundreds of presents! My girls came away with tons of stuff. Thank you everybody!

Of course my kids have to immediately put on any clothing they may have received. Charlotte is wearing her new nightgown (night time dress) and Victoria is wearing her new dress from Kristen. She pulled it out the bag and then handed it to me, and tapped herself on the shoulders because she wanted to put it on.

So fun Kate. Wish we could have been there to wish Happy Birthday.
P.S. I don't think the cake is weird. It's super cute.
Everything looks great!! Poor Charlotte thinking you skipped her birthday! LOL You'll tramatize her forever! LOL
That is quite a haul! I remember when Megan used to tell us what to say. I always felt like we were acting in a play. Cute kids!!
I love that picture of the girls, Charlotte looks all grown up
Windier than heck is an understatement, haha! It was fun though, GREAT food, and watching those kids run around with eggs on spoons was hilarious!
