Bye Bye Bink

3 year olds don't have binks. So I've been preparing Charlotte for this moment for a few weeks now. Yesterday was her third birthday. After church we were getting ready to have a nap and she came to lie down with me on my bed. I told her that today was her last day with her bink and that tomorrow we would throw it in the garbage can. She said I could take it now and handed it over. What a brave girl! She had a moment of sadness later in the day when she went upstairs to find her pink bear and realized that it wasn't going to be "bear binky" but she put on a brave face. This morning when I went to get her out of bed I asked her if she missed her bink. She said "yes." So I said, "oh no, are you sad?" And she said "no Mom, I'm happy."
