Remember when I said recommitment?
I suck at not eating sugar.
I also am not a very good blogger lately. I wish I had a list of possible topics to help give me ideas. I think of funny things to blog about, I see interesting things in my day-to-day life which could possibly be discussed, but when I get here and sit down my mind becomes a sieve and all coherent thoughts are lost.
Some exciting stuff going on:
I am moving to a new salon next week. It's a studio salon and there will just be two of us working there, which means no snotty girls who ignore me all day, I only have to fight with just Britny over the music selection, and I don't have to rely on someone else to present a nice clean environment to my clients. It has been fun to get ready for this. It's a brand new building so it's a clean slate for us. We had one of our walls painted with an orange venetian plaster, we've bought some cute accessories, I designed our business cards and logo, and I am ready to move over. I think my clients are really going to love the atmosphere, and I'm going to love having a little more independence. We'll probably need to eventually find a third person to split my chair with me, but we'll figure that out in a few months.

Courtland is looking for a new job. Something in sales. Something exciting and interesting and fun and rewarding. Any ideas? He's waiting to hear back from a place where he interviewed earlier this week. Cross your fingers.
Job change means that Courtland's hair went from looking like this:
To looking like this:
Ah, he's such a babe and I only miss his long hair just a teensy tiny bit.
Charlotte has had a fever for the last 2 days. She is so adorable when she is sick. She goes from looking pathetic and lethargic and sad with her super pale skin and her eyes that just get so red and bloodshot when she is sick, to acting all hyper and super happy when she has a little burst of wellness. Then she gets worn out and just wants to cuddle again.

Victoria is happy and just Victoria. She is great! We're looking forward to her 1st birthday. I'm trying to plan what kind of wonderful cake I should make. I'm going to be super crafty. Like Ace of Cakes crafty. Victoria's newest thing is that she got bangs. She was pretty excited about getting bangs. She's been asking for them forever and since bangs are really in right now I thought she should have some. She has also learned a new word. "Stop!" I wonder where she hears it? "Charlotte, stop that!" "Charlotte, you stop right now." "Charlotte, STOP!"

I had a birthday, shout hooray! Eh, not that exciting really. But we had a wonderful cake and some cute pictures snapped of our little family. Charlotte was a little busy talking to Snow White while we were getting the pictures taken. What a busy social life she leads. (This was Court's in-between haircut that he rocked for about 3 days. Baby steps.)

Are we the cutest family you ever did see? That's what Carol Mikita thought when she decided to film a little bit in front of us as we were loading the bus to go check out the Draper temple. You know she scoured the crowd (there were only about 12 of us) to find the most adorable family to serve as background. Did you happen to see us on the news? I never did. Bummer.

You guys are ADORABLE! What night were you on the news? I may still have it on my DVR. (:
This is all I could find regarding the news: http://www.ksl.com/index.php?nid=148&sid=5322959
Ok, totally digging the "in-between" cut...
If I were in UT, I'd totally let you cut my hair, but we'd have to keep it a secret from Taryn & my sister who both live there and do hair.
And YES...You are the too cute family!
You guys are adorable!!
I am sure that you'll probably be on her documentaries that she does for General Conference. The short ones in between sessions.
You look so good!
I'm excited for your new salon, sister.
Also: KSL is probably going to air a huge, long package about the Draper Temple in between sessions of General Conference. They like doing this. So I bet you will be in that one.
Charlotte looks so sweet and pathetic. Poor baby. I'm glad you guys didn't get it.
You guys are the cutest family. I love it! PS. You had a ton to write about....what are you talking about having nothing to blog about.
Good luck to Court on finding a job. My fingers are crossed for him.
Where is your new salon? I am desperate to get Emily's hair cut and I need someone who can make her sassy. Let me know!
Jill (I'm signed in as my hubby)
Court's hair!! Love the new do.
Victoria's bangs are adorable! I need a little girl.
HOORAY!!! Happy Birthday!
Poor Charlotte. She looks so sad when she's sick. I'm glad she was able to squeeze in a call with Snow White. I'm sure that cheered her up. :)
I heart the Venetian plaster. I am doing some in my basement for sure now, and you were the inspiration.
You ARE a cute family!! Can't wait to try out your new salon digs...though at the rate I get my hair cut, it might be a while ;).
you guys are so cute, I love the picture of charlotte on the couch.
