Chicken, applesauce, and interpretive dance.
Nothing too exciting going on in my life these days. I'm just hanging out with my kids, watching them play together, and gearing up for Victoria to start walking. Today she took three steps. She has incredible balance. I think I'll sign her up for the Olympics.
One of my favorite things about being home with my kids is sitting around the table to eat our meals together. Today we were enjoying a delicious (and nutritious) lunch, and of course enjoying the company, and thoroughly enjoying some tunes courtesy of Tori Amos. Charlotte felt so inspired she started doing an interpretive dance. The lyrics of the song were also maybe a little bit relevant:
So I let Crazy
take a spin
Then I let Crazy
settle in
That was the exact part that sparked her sudden dancing. I'm just sayin.
Victoria loves nothing more than to grab a big handful of Charlotte's hair whenever she has the chance. I try to keep it up in pigails or a pony, just to sort of remove the temptation. But sometimes she grabs hold anyway. Yesterday she got a big handful and wrestled Charlotte to the ground. Charlotte said, "I'm not a toy! I'm a friend!" This is her new plight whenever she gets her hair yanked on.
Today is Wednesday, the day I look forward to all week. Court and I go play volleyball at the church with a bunch of people and it's become my obsession. I'm not awesome at it, but I'm getting better and mostly it's just totally fun. I forgot that I have athletic tendencies. I thought I had lost them completely somewhere back there when I was about 17.

Bwahahahahaha! I just cackle laughed at my desk.
That's awesome! Charlotte is so cute.
I am going to start saying that to my kids when they attack me. I am not a toy, I am a mom.
