Deep in her heart she's an African dancing queen.

A few nights ago Charlotte and I went with our pal Lynette to see The Singing Children of Africa perform at The Gateway. Lynette was hosting a few of the boys last week and they are so funny! Evidence is here on her blog. Charlotte was very subdued at first, but quickly came out of her shell and began to shake it. The singing was great, but most fun was walking back to our cars after the performance. One of the boys pushed the stroller while another draped his arm around my shoulder and tried out some of his "lines" on me. Tell me how this would work on you: "Your eyes shine like the stars in the heavens." Hee! So funny! These kids are major womanizers so watch out. But they were very sweet to Charlotte even though she was so shy and didn't know what to do with all the male attention.

Please buy her some marimbas and a rain stick ASAP. Let your talents shine, Charlotte.

Charlotte seems like such a fun little girl. I wish we were closer so we could let our kids play together. Roman could teach Charlotte how to get into all kinds of trouble.

SOOOOO cute! Looks like Charlotte is ready for some square dancing lessons from Camille's niece. Perhaps she could even combine the two in some sort of down-home/hay bales/corn on the cob/safari/Swahili thing.

I think a line like that would work wonders.

Thanks for the haircut! I'm bummed to be back in the humidity...I love the dry Utah air for my crazy hair! It was fun to see you again--hopefully the next time won't be in 9 years.

That looks fun! BTW JaMoe has that shirt, too. Well, had, after a long summer and some chocolate milk, I had to retire the colors!
