Broken car.
So my cute sister Amy got in a car accident today. Man, it was scary but she's okay. Her car is probably totalled and it's a miracle she didn't get hurt. She's mostly embarrassed that she got in an accident, but what do you do? It happens. Now I'm going to try and bully her into buying the car I want her to buy. Do you think it will work?
Oh, and we're trying to get her hooked up with one of the EMTs who came to the rescue so we'll see how that goes. Her ER nurse is helping us out. Apparently he was just beaming at Amy the whole time. Nobody knew if he was single or what, but the lovely nurse is on the case. Cross your fingers! Something good might come out of all of this jazz.
Also, I am forever indebted to one of my clients who I saw yesterday. We have been having to go through all kinds of shenanigans to get Victoria to sleep every night. The colic is wearing off and I'd say maybe is gone (knock on wood) but she needs like a lot of noise to fall asleep. Normally we run the vacuum or the hair dryer. We have burned out our smaller vacuum doing this and I'm afraid of burning out the good vacuum. Also it makes the room hot and it gets kind of dusty. And how many of you have seen a hair dryer spark and start on fire? Yeah. Scary. So cute client from yesterday says "why don't you just turn on the radio to static." HELLO. She is a friggin genius. It has changed my life. Bless your soul dear client.

Oh my gosh! I'm SO glad Amy is ok. That is so scary. Is she still in the hospital?
I'm glad you found the trick with Victoria. With Anistyn we had to put her in her carseat and put her on top of the dryer and turn it on. We did that for the first 6 months! And both my kids had to have a radio in their room. Crazy how much they like noise!
Have you tried a white noise machine? We got one for my baby and I love it! I love seeing your family and their cute families. I'm glad Amy is well and I'll cross my fingers!
Poor Amy. That sucks. But hooray for the EMT. I'm crossing my fingers!
And Kate, have you been watching a little too much Juno? You 'sound' just like her!
Wait, I sound like Juno? Wasn't I here first? I mean, technically I'm a real person who has been around for 31 years wheras Juno is a fairly recent fictional character..... Come on Camille! I'm the original smart aleck.
White noise machine... not noisy enough.
And Amy was just in the ER for a quick X-ray. Now she's holding down my couch.
Crossing my fingers for the cute EMT! Funny thing...whenever I had an EMT come to my rescue (I passed out a lot in high school) I either got the fat old men, or the women who looked like fat old men...no fair!
what a good sister you are! i'm sure you are appreciated.
yeah, the radio totally works! how long has that taken to figure out? 4 months? ha!
Forget the fact that your sister was in an accident, I'm all over this potential love story! Ok, that was totally insensitive of me. :P I'm really glad that she wasn't seriously injured!
And kudos to your cute genius client!
I'm glad that your sister is okay. I'm so glad that you found something that will work for Victoria!
Egads - totalled car? I am glad all is well and that you can finally get some sleep around your house. :)
The love story sounds like an episode of Friends or something. Hopefully it works out!! And glad your sis is okay. Car accidents are scary! Oh and we've totally used the radio turned to static, works like a charm and so much cheaper than burning vacuums up. Oh and seriously scary/funny about the hair dryer. Was it one of the nice expensive hair dryers that hair stylists all have or a cheapy from Target?
Expensive hair stylist hair dryer. And it's enjoying a break from its previous daily duty of soothing a baby.
Tell Amy, we are glad she is okay. That's pretty scary stuff. As for the white noise. I hear fan's work really well too, and they help cool the place down.
