Just a little journaling

I just wanted to record some things about our lives lately. This might not be that interesting to read, but hey, I have to justify this time spent blogging by recording all this stuff for my posterity, right?

Charlotte says so much funny stuff and I know I'm going to forget a lot of it if I don't record it.
  • Today she was helping me put on my makeup (this is always fun) and she pulled out a mascara tube and said "Mom, this is kind of weird."
  • A conversation the other day:
    Charlotte: "Mom, what is this?"
    Me: "Bacon."
    Charlotte: "I want more bacon."
(This is funny because Court is a vegetarian and this was her first time trying bacon. Court was a good sport about it.)
  • She says "cuz" in front of almost every sentence these days.
  • She turns any object into a musical instrument. Usually a trumpet or a trombone. My mom calls her Lisa Simpson. (See pictures above.)
  • She wears her sunglasses all the time. Probable because I do. Lucky girl has my sensitive eyes. She doesn't even like to take her sunglasses off in stores. An older man in Barnes and Noble a few weeks ago asked her, "Are you a movie star?" Of course she is!
Victoria is two and a half months old. She smiles really easily and wakes up really happy. She is outgrowing the colic and goes to bed pretty easily these days. I'm not saying I can lay her right down and she'll fall asleep, but that's a goal we'll work toward! She has giggled for me a couple of times and she's really ticklish. She is tall and super strong too. She can almost propel herself out of her swing by arching her back and sliding down, so I've had to start using the buckle. She hates to get in the car and usually cries really hard for the first 5 minutes of a car ride. Charlotte is a really good sport about this. She tries to reach her to help her get her binky. Victoria also has started smiling really big at Charlotte which just totally warms my heart! They are such sweet sisters and every morning the three of us hang out on my bed for a while together while I change diapers and try to get myself awake enough to be the mom. I love that. I love that Charlotte is so excited to see her sister every morning. I love that when Charlotte and I went to the store together the other day she kept asking me where Victoria was. I love my two little girls and their awesome dad.

your girls are so pretty, How do I keep up? when I had charlotte in the car she kept saying "where's my juice?" over and over, she wasn't content with the answers I gave her.

Your girls are seriously cute!! And yes, what is Charlotte playing with in those pictures? Really you should keep your drug paraphenalia out of your childrens reach, shame shame.

Charlotte's "trombone" is the toy that goes with Victoria's baby papasan bouncy chair. I think it looks more like a saxophone but Charlotte prefers to play the trombone. She's got soul.

Haha, your kids are so adorable. I love how whatever it is Charlotte is playing with looks like something Cheech and Chong would have fun with. If you catch my drift. That is a great picture of the two of them in the crib.

Ok, this has nothing to do with your kids, but it does have to do with your sister. So, when is AMY going to start a blog? I am dying to know what her life is like and what she does all day....
