I can't avoid it.
I've seen this tag going around and now I'm really going to do it. Oh, the pressure! (Thanks for tagging me Stacey!)
Rules:
A. Post the rules
B. Answer all the questions about yourself
C. After you are done posting, tag 5 people
1. What were you doing 10 years ago:
10 years ago, in May of 1998, Court and I were fairly newly engaged. I was 21, living in Provo, going to beauty school in the evenings and typing really fast for a living during the days. This was a pretty fun time in my life. Court and I didn't really get to see each other very much. I'd get home from school at 9:00 PM, he'd get home from work at about 9:30 (damn car sales) and he'd shower before he came over. I was always bugged by that. I didn't care if he was totally stinky, I just wanted him to come over earlier! Then we'd either go get a drink and drive around, or go to Applebee's because they were open the latest and they had half-price appetizers once a week. Then we'd fall asleep on my couch and he'd wake up at about 2 and go home. Oh and I was skinny. Don't forget that. I hope to one day be that skinny again. Oh then my life would be complete! Isn't skinny what life is all about?
2. Five things on your to do list today:
How about 5 things to do tomorrow because it's after midnight now and I'm not going to do 5 more things today. (Diversity tomorrow. Because today is almost over.)
- Take Victoria to the doctor. She has been snoogy and snotty forever, and today we had a scare with her breathing due to the snooginess and snottiness. So I'm dragging her back to the doctor and I hope he doesn't roll his eyes at me! Okay he won't cuz he's awesome but I'm feeling like a neurotic first time mom today.
- I hope I can stop by the chiropractor after that. My hip is feeling all wonky today.
- Go to work at 12:00. This is my 3rd day back at work since having Tori. I'm excited to see the clients that I will see tomorrow! I love my job.
- After that I'll be so happy to come home and give my little girls each a squeeze.
- And maybe Lynette will want to go get some grub or something. Maybe that can be my number 5. Who can say what tomorrow will bring!
3. 5 snacks you enjoy:
- Currently obsessed with Club crackers and Grey Poupon Mild and Creamy. Weird I know.
- Dr. Pepper. Or any soda really. Usually I'd rather drink a soda than eat a meal. I kicked the habit while I was pregnant with Victoria but sleep deprivation has brought it back into my life.
- Avocado on toast with a little salt.
- PB&J.
- Time for another soda.
4. What would you do if you suddenly became a millionaire:
- We would build our dream home, which is some sort of fabulous environmentally friendly pre-fab Michelle Kaufman or Rocio Romero or something.
- Then we'd want one somewhere warm too. St. George probably.
- I'm turning into a saver and not a spender so save, save, save!
- I'd like to do something to help someone. That's vague, but someone here in my country, my city. Buy someone a house, help someone start a business, take care of a need somehow in a local and specific way.
- Oh I'm sure I'd have to let Courtland buy whatever car he wants. But I'd put a cap on that. I'm morally opposed to the price of some cars these days! I'd buy a Nissan Rogue.
- I'm too sarcastic.
- I bite my thumbnails.
- I will choose reading a book over just about anything. Most usually housework.
6. 5 places I've lived:
- Boise, Idaho for like 2 weeks or something.
- Orem, Utah
- Sandy, Utah
- Provo, Utah
- Draper, Utah
Uh, I don't get out much.
7. 5 jobs I've had:
- Remember that time my mom dragged me to Hardee's and made me get a job? That was fun.
- Spaghetti Factory with my sister Amy and my cousin Rachel. ("Oh my heck I'm out of a job!")
- Big D Construction. Got my heart broken. Whatever.
- Outback Steakhouse. Fell in love with an alcoholic. Those were the days!
- Franklin Covey. Played cards in the conference room, gossiped about GF, complained about Punxsatawney Phil.
- Finally became the hair stylist I knew I wanted to be since kindergarten!
8. 5 things people don't know about me:
- I hardly ever wash my hair. Also, I have always wanted curly hair and when I was in my early 20s it started getting curly. I'm convinced that my prayers were answered.
- I sing really loudly in the car. Now that I have kids this could get embarrassing. I give myself voice lessons in the car and I'll rewind something and sing it over and over again until I think I've gotten it right. This is the most fun with a Mariah Carey cd. Or Alanis Morrisette.
- I'd rather be funny than pretty and one time Court got in trouble for calling me pretty while we were playing a game with some neighbors.
- I'm a spelling and grammar snob. I try not to patronize businesses that can't spell. Either in their advertising, or in their actual business names. I don't think it's clever to call someplace the "Kuttin' Korner". Oddly, I work at a salon with this kind of problem, but I made an exception. And no, it's not the Kuttin' Korner.
- I'm one inch taller than my husband. But if you know me then I guess you know I'm tall. That's not very exciting but I'm running out of ideas.
I tag: Anyone who hasn't done this one yet. Sisters, friends. All y'all!
Does it bug anyone else that blogger takes out all of the double spaces between your sentences? Oh it bugs me bad!

Yay!!! I love it, all of it! I like finding stuff out about strangers, it's fun :) And I totally forgot to put that 10 years ago I was skinny too. But maybe a little too skinny, I didn't actually get hips and the little bit of boobs that I've got until my senior year so I'd like to go back to my figure 8 years ago instead of 10. Please, pretty pretty please...Thanks for playing!!
That was fun to read. Do you really listen to Mariah Carey? :) Oh, and I wish you could still cut my hair!
Of course I listen to Mariah! She's crazy. Deborah we're going to Disneyland in November and we'll probably drive so we want to come and say hi.
I love all your posts lately, cute pictures of the kids.
Is it crazy stalkerish that even though I've never met you, I know about 4 out of the 5 things "no one knows about you"? ACK! Funny what almost a year of random chatting will get you!
Kate, this is barrilla, you need to tell mindy to tell the latham's to tell cam and audrey to allow anonymous comments. I went to school with Cam and haven't talked to him since he left for dental school...So.... hip hop to it, get mindy on the phone to get the ball rolling.
And for all you private bloggers out there, this is why you shouldn't go private. If I wasn't allowed to blog surf, my long lost friend would be lost forever.....
Or, you could just tell me your password so I can publish comments under my pseudonym kate....
Mike. You are great, however you should talk to Mindy yourself because I just got totally lost in all those names. Whoa.
Plus...what's in it for me?
Fun! I want to go to Disneyland too. And of course you can totally come visit anytime!
