I officially have had the scariest moment of my life.

So yesterday... Charlotte had a low fever all day due to teething. I'd been giving her tylenol at 4 hour intervals. Well last night, right after taking her temperature (104!!) and giving her another dose of tylenol, she spikes a fever and has a fever-induced seizure. Let me now say she is perfectly fine and it's very very common. At the time, however, I didn't know this and it was a horrific experience. I never ever again want to be on the phone with a 911 dispatcher telling them to come quickly and save my baby! Long story short (it is a long story and I'm tired of telling it, and I'm tired of replaying it in my mind) the seizure lasted about 3 minutes, the paramedics came, checked her vitals and monitored her for about 15 minutes. We undressed her and she started cooling off but was pretty disoriented and totally exhausted. They assured us that it's a common occurence, even one of the most common calls they go out on. They offered to take her to the hospital but said that if she were their child, they would stay home and just watch her. So Court, my mom, and I got little sleep. Her fever was pretty much gone by 4:00 AM and she slept fine, and woke up chipper as can be in the morning.

Lynette, sorry I didn't answer your text... I think we may have found a house. We're good to stay here for one more month (probably more if we wanted, but we're anxious to move on and get settled somewhere else).

Kate! OMG! I was thinking of you all day yesterday and meaning to text you or something. I'm sorry that the Page family had to experience that! Please give Little Lottie my love and I'll call you later!!

It was definately a scary moment! I just have a word of advice to our family... Don't have Amy make emergency phone calls ever again. No offense to amy, but she scared me more than anything! I'm sorry you had to go through this experience, but you're a great mom and I think you did everything right!

Ohmigosh! I leave town for a couple of days and all hell breaks loose! My heart was pounding just reading that. I am SO HAPPY to hear she is fine. I echo Ashley's words - You ARE a good mom, and she is lucky she had you there.

I am glad you still have a roof over your heads. I was a little worried...but then, it's nothing the ol' Kate and Court clan can't muddle through.

Phew.

Wow! My heart goes out to you and your family. I can't imagine what that would've been like. I'm so glad to read that they said that's normal and happens all the time. How scary. I hate teething times, it's a necessary evil.

Andrea is in town! Which doesn't leave much time for Kate's addictions!
