I miss my friend

I miss my good good friend Diet Mountain Dew. Diet Dew was always there for me in my time of need. Diet Dew never let me have a headache for more than 10 minutes. Diet Dew was always cold, refreshing, and sweet. I could always turn to Diet Dew to quench my thirst, cool me down on a hot day, or bring me some joy on a rainy day. Diet Dew never gave me bitter beer face. Diet Dew has been a constant companion of mine until yesterday when I decided to break up with Diet Dew. WHAT WAS I THINKING!

KATE! You need to tell me when you quit ADDICTIONS like this! I myself have a proclivity towards the large consumption of soft drinks, against the will of my dentist (and myself). How about we set up a date...(court doesn't need to know) and we both quit! We can be each others sponsers... Then there will be a large monetary reward for the person who possesses the greatest ascetic!

Mike I can't believe you are asking me on a date. You are like 10 years too late pal! I'm sorry you've been harboring these secret feelings for so long. You need to break this addiction.

Did you try doing half and half diet dew and regular?

Hilar! But I am confused. Why would you break up with a diet drink? Unless you hate all that fake sweetener or whatever.

I personally have decided that it could be worse for me. I could be addicted to crack or something instead. No thanks - I'll hang on to this little vice and think of you everytime I pop the top on a cool, "fully-leaded" mountain dew. :)

Mind over matter! You don't NEED the diet dew, it's just a comfort thing. At least that's what my AA sponsor told me. He could be totally wrong though. Anyway...on a more serious not so personal note, i totally thought i'd had a problem giving up my dr pepper addiction, but when I don't think about it. I'm totally fine! More power to you sister...don't give in! I bet you can last a long time!

Andrea, are you referring to Dr. Mehmet Oz of Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital in New York?

I believe she is. Dr. Oz of Oprah Winfrey Show fame. So I can keep drinking the dew, as long as I'm drinkin just as much water?

Yes, barrilla I am talking about Mehmet. And he said just drink as much water as you do soda. I can handle that. Mike do you wear your scrubs everywhere like dr. oz does?

Kate, NO you cannot keep drinking dew, I need someone to quit with....
Andrea, I try not to wear them in public, but they are just so **** comfortable!(and they are the only outfit that go well with my clogs).

Dr. Oz, You should focus on what you do best: Heart Surgery. Quit selling out and advising the billions of housewifes that religiously watch Oprah daily on how they should drink a DEW!

Mike, I think I just fell in love with you.

I'm sorry to disappoint, but Dr. Oz doesn't read my blog. . . yet.

On another happy note, I'm excited that Camille fell in love with Mike. It's super convenient for me because they are 2 of my favorite people.
